I cannot recommend Ally highly enough. I attended her London beginners’ classes from the first to the last. (As did many others; the classes were always full). I’m about as flexible as a plank of wood but soon noticed the weeks with yoga went generally better than the weeks without. As much as the practice itself, I believe this was down to the calm, focused energy Ally brought to the class. She is wonderful and inspiring teacher. If you get the chance to learn yoga from her, do. Do, do, do!
I always found it difficult to embrace yoga as a healthy exercise regime for the body and mind. Having done it in a group setting, with Ally as the teacher, I am now a true convert.
In simple words Ally is amazing. She pushes you just enough so that you can notice the progress you are making and so that you want to come back for more.
The sessions are relaxed and even though the yoga we do is very serious and professional, doing yoga with Ally is an easy going and enjoyable experience, where even the odd giggle has a part to play.
Would recommend Ally anytime wholeheartedly.
Ally is a great teacher, really professional and competent. She manage as well to take care of all the attendances, so her classes are ok for every level.
Each time I do yoga with her I feel a real benefit which is lasting for all the week up to the next class. I def recommend her.
I've been practicing yoga for a couple of years now in a beginners class, but decided I wanted to get more out of it. I joined Ally for a yoga and meditation class in January. Truly fantastic, I feel like I have made real progress over the last 2 months, only seeing Ally weekly, but seeing and feeling a noticable difference in my moves and depth of stretch. Ally is welcoming, friendly and instantly made me feel at ease. She has great knowledge and each class leaves me feeling at peace.
So I'm neither young nor fit and I had never done yoga before and was feeling quite nervous about the first class. Ally was really warm and encouraging and I never felt pushed beyond what I could safely attempt and yet by the end I was astonished by what I'd been able to do and how amazingly good I felt. Since then I've looked forward to the class each week and it has really made a difference in my life. If you, like me, are not really sure whether you want to do this I really encourage you to give it a try. Ally really is a brilliant teacher and a genuinely nice person.
At 73 years of age I wasn't sure but Allyson went through the lesson showing me what to do and how to breathe and I managed it all quite well She was confident and very patient and Im continuing on really well.
'A wonderful first yoga experience'
I had never experienced a yoga class before and was a little nervous about the prospect. But I was pleasantly surprised by how encouraging and patient my instructor Ally was. She allowed me to go at my own pace and I found her very easy to follow and understand. She was more than happy to explain any questions I had (and I had quite a few).... And I found her overall nature to be lovely. I highly recommend Ally's classes and look forward to continuing on my Yoga journey.
As someone fairly new to yoga it was very good to be taught by someone with patience and experience who is happy to explain the reasons behind the positions and the spiritual side of yoga rather than just give instructions. I will certainly continue to take lessons from Ally, I have enjoyed the few lessons I have had so far and would recommend her as a teacher.
