Paula is a classically trained yoga teacher with a background in Capoeira Angola. Her yoga journey began at the age of 14 when her sister took her to a local class, and at 18 she ventured to India to explore it's traditional roots. Since then she has been practicing under the guidance of Nicole Arons of Soma Yoga for the past 10 years, and was classically trained as a teacher in the Indian Himalayas by Ganga Devi of the Himalayan Yoga Institute.
Her joyful approach to the practice integrates classical teachings into creative flow. Classes are challenging yet relaxing, and move slowly and consciously, allowing space for the practice to unravel with the breath. She likes to explore unfolding into the practice without force, which enables strength to be found through softening, leaving us mentally and physically nourished. Paula teaches studio, private, and work place yoga classes in London. She's an assistant teacher on the Himalayan Yoga Institute and Soma Yoga Medicine Teacher Trainings, and runs workshops and retreats worldwide.
As well as teaching yoga, she facilitates Theatre of the Oppressed workshops around the UK, and delivers life coaching and training to inner city young people in London.
