Therapy through body conditioning
We live in a busy and sometimes stressful world and our body's bear all the weight of both our thoughts and physical health.
Through yoga, we are able to relieve some of the tension of life by conditioning our body through movement and breath.
Yoga can play a large role in our therapeutic well-being.
Practising yoga will teach us how to breath, move and align our physical body, bringing awareness to posture, focus and how we are carrying ourselves. Through the combination of breath and movement, we create space (actual space!) in our body which allows our prana (breath or 'life force') to move more freely within.
A few benefits of yoga are listed here:
-
stress and anxiety relief
-
better sleep patterns
-
calmness under pressure
-
stamina and focus
-
increased flexibility and better posture
-
awareness
Regular yoga practice will train you to learn more about how you can deal with any everyday pressures, calm the mind, prepare you for any occasion, but also stretch, tone and lengthen the muscles. There are also opportunities to set some intentions, goals and of course have some fun playing with postures.
